In a far away Northern region, there are two major rival
towns, Turnerland and Isidoria.
Turnerland has a population of 25000 people, as of today,
February 26, 2021.
Isidoria has a population of 60000 people, as of today,
February 26, 2021.
Turnerland’s population is increasing at a rate of 5%/a,
compounded daily.
Isidoria’s population is decreasing at a rate of 3.4%/a, also
compounded daily.
For compounding purposes, there are 365 days in every
year.
BONUS (for 3 points): How many days will it take for the
populations of both towns to be equal in size, and what
will that population be?
BONUS (for 2 more points): Given that there are leap
years in 2024, 2028, 2032, 2036 . . . , on what exact
date will the equal population occur? (ex: May 21,
2029).
