How do you graph x=y+4

Subtract y from both sides to get x - y = 4.
Subtract x from both sides to get -y = -x + 4.
Multiply both sides by −1 to get y = x - 4.
Find (0,-4) on your coordinate plane.  This is your y-intercept — put a point here.
Graph the slope (1) — the coefficient isn’t written since anything x 1 is itself — with an equal rise/run.  That is, for every one unit up, one unit right.  Reverse this (one down, one left) for all points prior to the y-intercept.  Connect your dots, and put arrowheads on the ends to represent continuity from your function.
