When you think about it, the x and y values increase together, with no real end. That eliminates C and D. Therefore, the rest of the answer choices are A and B. The reason why it is A is because, due to the fact that, as the numbers increase, a difference of 9 becomes relatively small. For example, the difference between 10 and 1 have the same value as the difference between 110 and 101, which in turn have the same value as the difference between 1010 and 1001, 9, but since the numbers become much larger, the difference becomes relatively smaller. It's a bit difficult to explain and I actually just used process of elimination and the two tries on Edge to get it right.
