Hello, I am having a lot of trouble understanding cubed units. So for example if you had a cube with 3cm depth 4 cm height and 2 cm width.

That would be 24 units right? But why would it be squared? Because 24 x 24 x 24 is a huge number that doesnt equal the units. Im really confused if you dont get what I mean then just explain what cubed units mean please. Thank you!
