Sorry this isn’t exactly a math question but it is about school I have a decision between going to 8th grade in my current school and going straight to 9th grade in a different better school.
I am not the brightest, I am over the average but not like skip a grade smart. My current school is good and all but it’s just a public middle school. The other school is not a boarding school it is actually right next to my current middle school and I could still walk their from my house every morning. I have a very tight group of friends (me and 2 others besties) I have yet to tell them about it which kinda makes me nervous because I know they will want me to stay for 8th grade. I can also tell my mom and dad want me to go to 9th grade next year. They say they have no opinion but I can tell, I just don’t think they value the education i would get in my current school. It seems that going to the same other school doesn’t have negatives but my only concern is the academics, like I said I’m above the average for my school in the 90th percentile but I still haven’t been in any horizons (our schools AP but you have to get Into them) and I am worried that I might just do terrible and flunk even harder. Another thing is that my best friends brother goes to this school, I guess it doesn’t t make much of a difference but I would feel bad for my friend if I left 8th grade and went to school with her brother. (Just for context I would never date her brother) also in my group of 3 there is one of my besties who is so much smarter then me so it would feel wired considering she should be in this position (not that she can’t, I just don’t think she would)
