Maya on the beach

On a warm summer day, a little girl named Maya layed on the hot sand with her brother George. George loved the beach and loved the water that went with it. Maya and George would always go to the beach every Saturday and play with the kids they made friends with. Since Maya was older than her brother George and loved him she would always surprise him with his favorite kind of ice cream, chocolate. Maya and George were very different in many ways but they always figured out how to get along. Their parents were so happy that they got along and were like best friends, but one day Maya made a big mistake. Maya accidentally broke George’s favorite toy dinosaur. When George found out he cryed so hard and then got very angry at Maya. Maya said sorry so many times but none of them would heal her brother’s loss. Maya told her mom about this and Maya said that she will pay for a new dinosaur with the money she has been saving for a new bike. Her mom agreed and so Maya went and bought George a new dinosaur. When George saw his new toy he was so happy and hugged his sister Maya. Some time later, Maya and George went back to the beach and got their favorite ice cream as usual. Maya saw that her brother was playing with the dinosaur that she bought him. She instantly got so happy, but when her brother looked over at her and smiled so big, she knew that nothing could replace her baby brother.

I know it’s a lot but I wrote it as an assignment for a class of mine it has about 14-15 sentences if you wanna shorten it do as you please.
