Two agricultural sciences majors have been collecting data on tomatillo plants. Their data shows that when they puts 20 tomatillo plants in an acre plot, each plant yields 9 kilograms of fruit. For each additional plant (up to 65 ), the yield of each plant decreases by 0.1 kilograms.
Write a function f(x) that gives the TOTAL yield of the garden in kilograms of tomatillos, where x is the number of tomatillo plants.
How many tomatillo plants should these students put in an acre plot to maximize the total yield?
What is the maximum mass of tomatillos they can grow in an acre?
