-4y - 11x = 36
-36 - 11x = 4y
y = (-36 - 11x)/4  <-- equation 1

20 = -10x - 10 y
20+10x = -10y
y = (20+10x)/-10  <--- equation 2

Equating both equations, you could determine x. From there, you could also determine y.

x = -4
y = 2
