Idk how to write a word problem for multiplication

Hannah has 2.40 dollars and wants to buy 2 pairs of socks costing ar 1.20 each

First write a mathematical problem, for example:
1.2 + 1.2 = 2.4
Or
1 + 1 = 2
2 + 0.4 = 2.4

Then use a mathematical equation and make up a story, for example:
Sam's parents want him to rake the yard before he leaves for a movie with his friends. The yard has 3 sections. If one section takes an hour to rake and another section takes 20 minutes to rake, how long would the third section have to take if Sam finishes raking in 2.4 hours?
