To answer this you would need to draw it out making a triangle ABC. AB being 8.2 and BC being 4.3. you then need to find AC which is where you can do a^2+b^2=c^2. so you plug in what you got 8.2^2+4.3^2=c^2 >>> 67.24+18.49=c^2 >>>  85.73=c^@ >>> then you square root both sides and get c= 9.25905 or about 9.26mi this is line AC in the triangle you drew the ship is 9.26 mi from the shore creating a third angle of 180-(28+90)= 62 degrees
