What is the equation in point−slope form of the line passing through (−3, −4) and (0, 2)?

The point slope form of a line is y-y2=m(x-x2), where m=slope an (x2,y2) is any point on the line.

First find the slope, m, which is:

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1), in this case:

m=(2--4)/(0--3)

m=(2+4)/(0+3)

m=6/3

m=2  so now we have:

y-y2=2(x-x2), using either point finishes the line, I'll use (-3,-4)...

y+4=2(x+3)
