Does the residual plot show that the line of best fit is appropriate for the data

I have attached the image for this problem.
The points are to be modeled using a best-fit line. For a set of points to be accurately represented by a best-fit line, they must follow a linear pattern and looking at the set of points, they seem to follow a linear pattern. Therefore, the residual plot shows that a best-fit line is appropriate for the data.
