Explain why an angle that is supplementary to an acute angle must be an obtuse angle

Supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees. Since the acute angle is less than 90 degrees, the other angle must be greater than 90 degrees (obtuse angle) for it to add up to 180or for it to be supplementary
