Ok, so this is the same as saying (-12x3y4)/6x2y2+18x2y3/6x2y2+6x2y2/6x2y2.  You can separate them just like you could separate (4+8+2)/2 into 4/2+8/2+2/2.  They both equal 7.  Then you just have to cancel things out.  In the first one,  the -12 cancels with the 6 to give you -2, the 2 xs on the bottom cancel out 2xs on top and the 2ys on the bottom cancel out two on the top, leaving you with .  I think you can do the rest.  The correct answer is the first one you listed
