A study of fox rabies in southern Germany gave information about different regions and the occurrence of rabies in each region. A random sample of 16 locations in Region 1 yielded a mean of 4.75 cases of rabies with a standard deviation of 2.8 cases. An independent sample of 15 locations in Region 2 yielded a mean of 3.93 cases with a standard deviation of 2.4 cases.
