To be honest, yes i think justice was served with a guilty verdict. He definitely deserved it. Why i think this because not only did he kill George Floyd, if you look up what else he has done he should've been fired a long time ago. Police officers are supposed to protect the innocent. George Floyd was innocent but instead of just putting him into a police car they put him on the ground and Derrick Chauvin kneeled on his neck. He continually kneeled on his neck while George Floyd said, "I can't breath" He ended up dying ultimately in 8 minutes. This is my problem though, if it was a white man they would've handled him with care, and probably just asked for his license or what is his name. Just because George Floyd was black they thought he was the person who used a fake $20 dollar bill. JUST BECAUSE HE WAS BLACK?! Honestly i think derrick Chauvin deserves to have a death sentence. Maybe he also deserves the death penalty too. He ultimately killed George Floyd. He also worked in a club and when fights broke out he fired pepper spray at everyone. He also worked with George Floyd, so he obviously seen the man before and seen that he is a good person. I also think him and his partner should equal the same amount of time cause Derrick Chauvin wasn't the only person who kneeled on his neck. His fellow police officer also did. So I think Derrick Chauvin should have a death sentence.
