I know it is a lot, but I will give 100 points and Brainliest 1.)Find 1 example of the graph of a quadratic function in the real world.Your photo can be one you have taken yourself or one that you found on the internet.
2.)Using a method of your choice-overlay a coordinate graph system over your picture. You can do this by hand (via a ruler on your own paper, or on pre-graphed paper) or using an online graphing source (such as desmos). Please see help tip below:Choose a position for the parabola that allows you to get five coordinate points that lie on your parabola.
3.)Using Quadratic Regression, write the equation of your parabola in Standard Form. Identify the five coordinate points on your graph and make a table.Run a quadratic regression on these points in your graphing calculator. Write down the regression equationHow can I check my equation? i. Choose an integer x-value that is not one of the five previously picked points. ii. Plug it into the regression equation to get the y-coordinate. Plot this point into Desmos. This should lay directly on or close to your parabola.
4.)Answer the questions below regarding your parabola and submit.
A. What is the equation of your parabola?
B. Does your parabola have a max or min?
C. What is the vertex point of your parabola?
D. What is the axis of symmetry?
E. What are the solutions for your parabola?
F. What is the domain for your parabola?
G. What is the range for your parabola?
H. What was one thing that you learned from this project?
I. Using a complete sentence, give at least one example of how parabolas are used in the real-world (how would you use a parabola in your career?)
