The fat content (in percentage) of 12 randomly selected hot dogs was measured by scientists:
18.3, 22.6, 28.3, 17.4, 21.6, 22.4, 24.7, 20.9, 29.8, 21.3, 23.6, 25.8
(a) Construct a 95% confidence interval for the population mean fat content. State any
necessary assumptions for your Cl to be valid.
(b) Is there sufficient evidence to conclude that the mean fat content is less than 25%.
You may find the following R code helpful:
x = c(18.3, 22.6, 28.3, 17.4, 21.6, 22.4, 24.7, 20.9, 29.8, 21.3, 23.6, 25.8)
