The room contains several glasses partially filled with water. Each 'X' on the line plot represents a glass, and its position on the line shows how full it is, measured in fractions of a cup. Find the amount of water each glass would contain if the total amount in all the glasses were redistributed equally. Simplify completely.
The number line starts at 0 and ends on 1. On the '0' spot of the number line there is 1 'X', on the 1/4 spot there are no X's, on the 1/2 spot, there are 4 X's, on the 3/4 spot there are 2 X's, and on the 1 spot there are 2 X's.
Can anyone help me solve this???
