Due tomorrow pls help. Taxi rates in three different cities

The Vargas family are planning a trip to Zurich in Switzerland, Tokyo in Japan, and Chengdu in China. To budget for the trip, they are looking for information about taxi rates in all three cities. The information they found is shown below. The costs are all given in US dollars for consistency.

For each city, there is an initial hire charge and the cost increases at a constant rate every 2 km thereafter.

Zurich

Distance travelled (km) vs Cost (US $)
0 km - 12 $
2 km - 14 $
4 km - 16 $

Tokyo

Distance travelled (km) Cost (US $)
0 km - 15$
2 km - 16$
4 km - 17$

Chengdu

Distance travelled (km) Cost (US $)
0 km - 11.20$
2 km - 13.00$
4 km - 14.80$

Explore the data given above and DEFINE the variables.
The independent variable (x):
The dependent variable (y):

STATE the initial hire charge (initial conditions) for each city taxi:
Zurich:
Tokyo:
Chengdu

The relationship between cost and distance can be modelled in a different way by means of an equation.
Here is the equation for Zurich, where x is distance (km) and y is cost (US$).
y=x+12
DETERMINE the equations for Tokyo and Chengdu (ii), (iii)

Tokyo (Show Working):

Chengdu (Show Working):

DESCRIBE how the cost of a taxi ride changes with distance in the cities below. Be specific. Use mathematical terminology and be concise, logical and complete.

DISCUSS in which city it is least expensive to take a taxi. EXPLAIN your response.

DETERMINE when it becomes more expensive to ride a taxi in Chengdu than Tokyo. At what cost does the situation change?

EXPLAIN the degree of accuracy of your solution in Question 8.

Does your solution to Question 8 make sense? EXPLAIN your reasoning

EXPLAIN a sensible use of this information when planning you trip.

SUGGEST possible reasons for the differences in cost between the three cities.
