To find the equation of straight line passing through a point and a slope , we use the equation of straight line in point slope form i.e y - y₁ = m ( x - x₁ ).We have : Slope ( m ) = 3 & assume the midpoint of ( 1 , 2 ) and ( 3 , 4 ) i.e ( 2 , 3 ) be ( x₁ , y₁ ).

Hence , The required equation of a straight line is 3x - y - 3 = 0 .
