A farmer has 40 ha of land available on which to plant beetroot and carrots. The cultivation costs per ha are N$500 for beetroot and N$350 for carrots and
he has N$15000.00 available. He needs 2 working days per ha to plant
beetroot and 3 working days per ha to plant carrots. In total 90 working days
are available. His profit per ha is N$1000.00 for beetroot well as carrots. The
area he cultivates depends on his available funds and the available working
days.
