Your task is to write and graph a piecewise function using the following rules/intervals:
Function 1: (-inf, -5)
Function 2: [-5, 0)
Function 3: [0,5)
Function 4: [5, +inf)
If the function is undefined over a given interval then pick another function and include an explanation as to why the original function did not work. Make one of the functions linear, one of the functions square root, one of the functions absolute value, and the last function either exponential, quadratic or square root (one that you will be able to graph).
Your work should include each of the following-
1) equation of your piecewise function over the given x intervals
2) graph of your piecewise function
3) Written Explanation of how you completed this task. What challenges did you have? What functions did you try but were unable to use? What does it mean for a function to be undefined over a given interval? What examples of that did you encounter when completing this task? If you didn't encounter any, what example could you create that would be undefined over one of the given intervals? Help ASAP
