a. Write an expression for the total amount earned from recycling.
b. If Chen brings in ten pounds of newspapers, eight pounds of cans, and two pounds of glass, how much will he
receive? Substitute the information from part b into the algebraic expression you wrote in part a. Follow the order
of operations to find the final answer. Show steps for credit. NOTE: the final answer is a money amount!
