Let the numbers be x, x+1 and x+2 .

Equation :-

=> x+(x+1)+(x+2)=78

=> x+x+1+x+2=78

=> 3x+3=78

Subtract 3 from both sides..

3x=75

Divide both sides by 3 .

x=25

The three consecutive integers are

x , x+1 and x+2..In the place of x replace 25

∴ 25 , 26 and 27 are the three consecutive integers.

Taking 3 as common on the RHS of the equation

1st number = x = 25

2nd number = x + 1 = 26
