In the video, we call the horizontal side of the rectangle the length and the vertical side the width. Sometimes, you might see the horizontal side called the width and the vertical side called the length. Or, you might see one side called the base and the other side called the height. No matter what you call the sides of a rectangle, multiplying one side by the other will give you the area!
