Error Analysis. Explain in complete sentences what the student did wrong in the following answer to the given question.
Question: A rectangle has side lengths (x +5) feet and (2x-3) feet. Write a linear
expression in simplest form
to represent the perimeter. Find the perimeter if the value of x is 6 feet.

(x + 5) + (2x - 3)
(x + 2x) + (5 + (-3))
3x + 2 is the expression

3(6) + 2
18 + 2 = 20
A linear expression to represent the perimeter is 3x + 2.
If x = 6, the perimeter is 20 square units.
