The National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommends that a target blood glucose level for non-diabetic people should be 5.0 mmol/L. A random sample of 35 adults was taken from a rural community in Texas, to determine if the county health officials should offer special pre-diabetic services for the community. In taking the sample the average glucose level of the participants was 5.29 mmol/L, with a standard deviation of 1.18 mmol/L. Calculate the t-statistic for this test. Use a t-critical of 2.03.
