Find the total price, p, of the bicycle if your friend bought the bicycle in a location where the rate is r. Assume r is the rate in decimal form.
2.Suppose a friend tells you she wants to buy a bicycle with a list price of $3749.99, and you’d like to know the bicycle’s total price (the price after taxes) so that you can compare prices at in other counties.. You are visiting Lincoln County where the tax rate is lower. You paid a total of $4049.99. What is the tax rate in Lincoln county, and how much did you save on what you would have to pay for the same bicycle in Pierce County where the tax is 10.3%?
