What I did to measure the distance is mark each cm of the ruler in a piece of paper, and then use that piece of paper to find the distance between the ice rink and the museum.

You can't use another ruler to measure it because depending on your screen, the image can be a little bit smaller or larger.

With this method, I found that the distance is 3cm.

And each cm is equivalent to 4km, then the real-life distance is:

3*4km = 12km
