Because CPCTC , ∠JPK≅∠MPK, and these angles are right angles because two angles that form a linear pair are congruent, thereby making JM⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⊥HK⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯⎯ by the definition of perpendicular segments.
