Part A A line passes through (-4,-3) and (2,-1)

Find the equation of any line parallel to the given line

Answer to part A
Since the slopes of the parallel line are EQUAL, the slope of the parallel line is 1/3. Therefore, the question of parallel line is y=1/3x-7.

I don’t understand how to solve Part B here it is

Find a point on the parallel line from Part A that is NOT the y-intercept

Enter the correct values in the boxed to complete a correct response

Chose a value of x and find the corresponding value of y. For x=3, y= __. Therefore the point other than the y-intercept through which the parallel line passes is (_,_)

Prove (a) cosh2(x) − sinh2(x) = 1 and (b) 1 − tanh 2(x) = sech 2(x). solution (a) cosh2(x) − sinh2(x) = ex + e−x 2 2 − 2 = e2x + 2 + e−2x 4 − = 4 = . (b) we start with the identity proved in part (a): cosh2(x) − sinh2(x) = 1. if we divide both sides by cosh2(x), we get 1 − sinh2(x) cosh2(x) = 1 or 1 − tanh 2(x) = .
