Use the given conditions to write an equation for each line in point slope form and slope intercept form passing through (2,-4) and (3,2)

Slope intercept form : y = mx+ b

m = slope ; b = y -intercept 

Start by finding the slope of the line..  Slope formula = y2 - y1 /  x2 - x1

( 2 , - 4 ) and ( 3 , 2 )        2 - (-4) / 3 - 2        
                                                 2 + 4 / 3-2
                                                  6 / 1 or 6 is the slope of the line
m = 6

--- Take one of the two pair of coordinates and plug it in the slope intercept form formula and solve for b or y - intercept..

I'm going to use ( 2 , -4)  and m = 6 Substitute the values 

y =  mx + b

-4 = 6 (2) + b

-4 = 12 + b
-12   -12

b = -16 is the y-intercept...

y = 6x - 16 is the slope intercept form 

Point Slop form :  y - y1 = m ( x - x1)

You can pick either one of the coordinates ... 

I'm using ( 2 , -4) again , We already know that the slope or m = 6

You just plug in the values

POINT SLOPE FORM :  y + 4 = 6 ( x - 2)

We got +4 because negative and negative make a positive number
