x+y-18=2x

(x-y) -32=2y

from eqn (1) y=18+x(3)
substitute eqn (3) into eqn(2)
x-3{18+x} = 32
x-54-3x=32
-2x=32+54
-2x = 86
x= -43

sub x=-43 into eqn (3)
y=18+(-43) = 18-43 = -25
