Time difference between 12 midnight and 1:05 AM (next day) = 1 hour 5 minutes. 
Time difference between 1:05 AM (next day) and 1:05 PM (next day) = 12 hours. 

Time difference between 10:53 AM one day and 1:05 PM the next day = 26 hours 12 minutes. Half of that is 13 hours 6 minutes. 

10:53 AM + 12 hours = 10:53 PM. 
10:53PM + 1 hour 6 mins = 11:59 PM

My phone rang midway between 10:53 AM one day and 1:05 PM the next day. It rang at 11:59 PM.
