How do we use the pythagoras theorem in "everyday life".

I use it all the time, but as my profession is engineering, mathematics is integral in my everyday life. I usually do it when evaluating for the magnitude of vector force components. Usually in 2D space, so Pythagorean theorem is quite useful.

(-14+3/2b) - (1+8/2b) = -5 -5/2b(-10+b) + (7b-5) = 8b-15(7/2b-3) - (8+6b) = -5/2b-11(5+2b) + (2b+3/2) = 4b+ 13/2
