Assign variable (x) to the expensive ticket 
(x - 6.5) - 10.25 = 55

Simplify
x+16.75=55

Subtract 16.75 to each side
x=38.25

x = 38.25
This should be the highest ticket price
55 - 38.25 = 16.75
This is the lowest
