In a fraction word problem, how do i know when i'm adding, subtracting, multiplying, or dividing?

It will tell you in the sentence when adding it will say the sum, when subtracting it will say the difference, when multiplying it should say the product and when dividing it should say the quotient. I hope this helps you.

The order always goes multiply/divide, then subtract/add.

For the "/" 's it's whatever come first. But you have to multiple and divide first before subtracting and adding.
