Idk the answer, but i will give you the best advice. 

If you have a graph paper notebook, that would be great. and if you don't just buy some at a store like Walmart.

Now the reason i am asking if you have a graph notebook, because

Make a coordinate grid with it and estimate for all quadrants. (9,3) would be on quadrant one and (4,-9), would be on quadrant four. now count the grids from either which plot, and count to the other. which ever way you choose to count, the answer would be the same. For instance, if you count to the left, and/ or from either and the way you count is diagonal, it would be the same distance.
