Need with this question for a grade

Y = x + 1.75...so we sub in x + 1.75 for y in the other equation

4x - 2y = 4
4x - 2(x + 1.75) = 4distribute thru the parenthesis
4x - 2x - 3.5 = 4add 3.5 to both sides
4x - 2x = 4 + 3.5...simplify
2x = 7.5divide both sides by 2
x = 7.5 / 2
x = 3.75

now we sub in 3.75 for x in either of the original equations to find y.

y = x + 1.75
y = 3.75 + 1.75
y = 5.5

so ur solution is : (3.75,5.5) <==
