Let the number of cats be x.
Let the number of sheep be y.

3 times the number of cats exceeded the number of sheep by 7
⇒ 3x =  y + 7

When x = 69
3(69)= y + 7
207 = y + 7
y = 207 - 7
y = 200


There are 200 sheeps.
