How would i calculate 1/2 to the 5? . can i change it to .5 to the 5th?

1/2 is 0.50 
so, if 1/2 is raised to the power of 5. then, 0.50 is raised to the power of 5.

(1/2)⁵ in expanded form is 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 
1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 * 1/2 = 1*1*1*1*1 / 2*2*2*2*2  = 1/32
1/32 = 0.03125

0.5⁵ in expanded form is 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 x 0.5 = 0.03125
