As the temperature rises, the kinetic energy of the molecules also increases and the molecules of water vibrates more fast.Temperature is a measure of the average kinetic energy, therefore as the water in the pot heats up the average kinetic energy rises. Increase in the kinetic energy increases the vibration of water molecules until the water boils.
