Explanation: Carbohydrates are broken into simple molecules of glucose to provide energy to every cell in the body.

The high levels of glucose are controlled by hormone called insulin which is secreted by beta cells of pancreas in our body.

Our body uses the glucose it needs from carbohydrates right away and then stores the remaining part as glycogen in our liver and muscles. Glycogen is a complex  carbohydrate that your system quickly converts to glucose when carbohydrates from food are not available.
