What would happen if the earth rotated more slowly than it currently does?

If the rotation of the earth is sowed down, then there will be considerable change happening around the world. If the rate is very slow, we wont notice as we will get adapted to the changes. It would get hotter in the day and colder in night. If the speed is faster then there will be tremendous effects like the speed of winds will be several km/hr which will destroy all the plants and trees and the objects will thrown away. The duration of days and nights will change.
