Neptune is the planet that belongs to the solar system. It is a gaseous planet which is beyond Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. All these are called gaseous giants . The atmosphere of Neptune has methane gas along with hydrogen and helium gas presence also. So it is called a gaseous giant. It is very far away from the Sun. So it is very cold, icy  planet .

Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars are earth like and so these are given the name terrestrial planets.
