Explain the difference in how current flows through two light bulbs connected in series circuit and in two light bulbs connected in parallel circuit.

When two light bulbs are in series then the current flows in the circuit will be same for both the bulbs.

When two light bulbs are in parallel then current will be divide among the two bulbs.

When bulbs are connected in series then the two bulbs are connected one by one with a battery.

In that case the total resistance of two bulbs will be increased and a common current will flow in the two bulbs while the voltage may be different in two bulbs.

Now when two bulbs are connected in parallel to each other then the voltage across the two bulbs will be same while current may be different in two bulbs

Also we can say that total current of the circuit is divided in two bulbs when they are in parallel
