If you went in your back yard, stood on a tall ladder, and dropped a pencil and a flat piece of paper at the same time, would they hit the ground at the same time? why or why not?

No they would not hit the ground at the same time because objects which are denser or have more mass fall faster than those which are less denser or have less mass due to air resistance, therefore as a piece of paper isn’t as dense as a pencil it will fall slower than the pencil.
