Neutron considered as giant nuclei and can be well described by the fermi gas model for nucleus. if the mass of a neutron star is m 3x100kg, obtain its radius. assume a constant mass density and utron stars consist entirely of neutrons (neglecting the surface layer of atoms). they can be average potential energy per neutron due to the gravitational pull as: 5r , where m, s n, g and r are the neutron mass, neutron number, gravitational constant and star radius, respectively. all the required constants can be found in the literature. hint: the star is in equilibrium when its total energy, consisting of potential energy of gravitational pull and kinetic energy of neutrons in fermi gas model, is minimised.
