How are the axial deformation (δ=pl/ae) and rotational deformation (φ=tl/gj) equations similar? both equations are proportional to the length of the member and inversely proportional to the stiffness. both equations express deofrmation in units of inches or millimeters. both equations have the length of the member, l, in the denominator. the equations are not similar.
